And here’s a breakdown for the reel.

Brisk Mauls to the Wall

January 15, 2012

A small team of which I was happy to be a part, recently made this funny commercial at Aatma Studios in SF, with Mekanism.

It was on TV and in theaters as of January 2012.

I did look dev, lighting, shading and compositing for the entire ad.

Besides me there were 4 animators, 1 rigger, 2 modellers, a lead TD and a producer.

Here’s the American version:

And here’s the French version:

The Darkest Hour

January 10, 2012

In 2011 I was a compositor on the feature film “The Darkest Hour”, at Polygon Entertainment. Released in theaters on December 25, 2011, the movie was shot in stereoscopic 3D. I composited most of the shots of aliens landing.

Butterflies and Bulldozers

February 15, 2011

In 2010 I was a digital artist for the documentary film Butterflies and Bulldozers. This film tells the story of the unique natural habitat of San Bruno Mountain and the fifty year fight to protect it from developers. It deals with the global dilemma of economic growth versus species preservation. I animated the title sequence and other graphics thoughout the film.

Saving The Bay

February 10, 2010

In 2009 I was a digital artist for the documentary film series Saving The Bay, narrated by Robert Redford. This series is a public education project designed to raise awareness about San Francisco Bay — its evolution, how we almost lost and then saved the Bay, and how we are planning the future of the Bay. I helped design and animated the title sequence, as well as many of the graphics thoughout the film.

You Don’t Mess With the Zohan

February 16, 2009

In 2008 I was a lighting and shading TD on the feature film You Don’t Mess With the Zohan, at The Orphanage. I created shaders and lighting to match CG to live action plates.

The Last Mimzy

February 18, 1998

In 2007 I was a lighting and shading TD on the feature film The Last Mimzy, at The Orphanage. I created shaders and lighting to match live action plates. Additionally, I animated the motion for the box opening in the kid’s bedroom (part of which is shown 34 seconds into the trailer).
